Homeland Maasdijk

For the residential complex Homeland in Maasdijk, we delivered the complete steel structure for a rooftop sports cage. A distinctive project where architecture, engineering and collaboration came together, with working at height playing a key role.

The residential complex was built by Hercuton on behalf of NL Realty, initiated by VastgoedProfs. Dijkstaal was responsible for the engineering, production and installation of the steel structure. The glass was supplied by IFS Building Systems and the stainless steel cables were delivered by CarlStahl Benelux. The sports cage was designed in the shape of a greenhouse, creating a clear reference to the Westland region.

The combination of steel, glass and stainless steel required a high level of precision and careful preparation. The entire structure was detailed in Tekla Structures and then produced in our workshop. After hot dip galvanizing, all components were installed on site, with extra attention given to safety and logistics at height.

Project details:
• Steel structure: approximately 26,000 kg
• Stainless steel cables: approximately 2 kilometers
• Glass surface area: approximately 165 m², including balustrades

Installation on the rooftop required tight planning and precise coordination between all parties involved. Thanks to this approach, a unique sports facility was realized that is not only functional but also architecturally aligned with its surroundings.

A project close to our roots, centered on craftsmanship, collaboration and trust, and one we look back on with pride.
